OREF 058: New Name, New Purpose

OREF 058, formerly the Professional Inspection Addendum, has been converted to the Advisory Regarding Due Diligence, reflecting its primary role as a buyer advisory. Under OREF 001 – Residential Real Estate Sale Agreement, Section 12.2(a), buyers may conduct as many inspections as they choose during the inspection period, with advance disclosure required for any invasive inspections. If requesting seller-paid inspections, OREF recommends using Section 29 – Additional Provisions or a separate addendum. 

All comments and responses from OREF or its staff, managers, and volunteers are non-legal opinions made for general purposes. Each Forms subscriber must rely solely upon their Principal broker or personal legal counsel for specific advice and instruction.
